Building on the traditions and expertise cultivated by the Art Gallery within the Aichi Prefectural Cultural Center, established in 1955, and the Aichi Prefectural Museum of Art, which opened in 1992, our museum is entering a new phase as part of the Administrative Agency for Aichi Prefectural Museums.

As a leading art museum in the Chubu region, while upholding the core functions of an art museum—including collection, conservation, research, exhibition, and education and communication—we will actively pursue new initiatives in response to the rapid changes shaping society.

Furthermore, through the flexible and diverse activities enabled by this framework as part of the Administrative Agency for Aichi Prefectural Museums, we will embrace new forms of expression and perspectives beyond conventional frameworks. We also seek to create a space that is more open and welcoming, where everyone can share the joy of engaging with art.

It is our aim to become a museum cherished by the public, one that continues to grow with the times, and we will keep striving toward this vision.
